The fourth International Conference on Construction, Energy, Environment and Sustainability, will take place in Aveiro, Portugal, from 23 to 25 June 2027, and is being organized by Itecons / University of Coimbra in collaboration with the University of Aveiro.
The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers, engineers, planners, stakeholders and policy makers of the construction, energy and environment sectors to discuss the challenges facing the construction industry and the built environment in the transition towards a more sustainable, resilient and resource-efficient future.
Globally, as we face resource scarcity and climate change, concerns with sustainability, efficiency and wellbeing continue to grow. In this context, the construction industry must continue to develop new technologies, processes and materials and to address the many challenges facing the existing building stock.
Looking towards a more sustainable built environment and construction activity, professionals from a wide range of backgrounds need to work together. From researchers working on the development of innovative construction materials and technologies, the study of building physics and energy performance, the assessment of the environmental effects of manmade infrastructure and the digitalization of the industry, to those addressing the social and economic aspects of sustainable construction and housing.
In this context, we are looking for contributions related with, but not limited to, a wide range of multidisciplinary topics.
